Which board to buy?... |
Things to keep in mind... Stance is the distance from kingpin/truck to kingpin/truck(and not the overall length of the board). It is the distance at which your feet are apart. Thusly, taller riders are more comfortable with a wider stance and shorter rider with a narrower stance. Height vs. Skill If you have never ridden a pivotboard before and you are say, 6 foot tall, you will want to choose the Highland Cartel or one of the Dimension Warlord boards, as the stances of the Nomad-R and Flare 50 would be too narrow for you. Board Quality All of the boards are made of high quality 9-ply Canadian Maple. The Highland Cartel and Dimension Warlord boards have slide-rite slick on the foot plates and crossbar, whereas the Nomad-R and Flare 50 do not. All of the boards have pre-drilled holes for mounting bindings. Additional Details You can do all of the same tricks on every board, which is only limited by your own imagination! Pivotboarding combines elements from snowboarding, skateboarding, surfing and more. You can do every trick that a snowboarder can do, every trick that a skateboarder can do(slides, grinds airs etc) except for kickflips, pop-shuvits etc, since your feet are attached to the board via bindings. For beginners, we recommend learning how to move the board first, before mounting the bindings and doing tricks. |
